Becca
- Castlewood's Burbrook Rebecca
Feb. 6,
2001 |
Although
not our first black & tan, Becca is the most 'interesting'
one! I was lucky enough to get Becca from Gloria Watkins in Winnipeg
(Castlewoods) and she is our wholecolour foundation. Her personality
is second to none, and her exuberance for life in general makes
her a challenge. Showing her proved to be too much of a challenge,
so she's been retired to mommy duties. Becca's idea of showing
meant taking the ring on two legs, and when all four feet were
on the ground, you practically run. She has produced some lovely
puppies and two of them are now Canadian Champions - a feat she
has been unable to accomplish herself.

Talia
- CH. Burbrook Tequila Sunrise
Jan. 29,
2006 |
| Talia
is a granddaughter of Tiana and is a small, compact blenheim. For
the first two years of her life, I thought she'd be too small, however
she has now matured and at 2 1/2 weighs in at 14 lbs. Her sire is
Ch.
Woodmere's Lord Byron. At the Canadian National Specialty in
Prince Edward Island in September 2007, Talia garnered Reserve Winners
Bitch under UK breed judge, Jenny McAlpine. Also in PEI, she got
the same award at the Regional Specialty under US breed judge, Karen
Heron. Talia earned her Canadian Championship at the Guelph Kennel
Club All-Breed show in April 2008, all championship points won from
the Bred By Exhibitor Class. She is such an easy girl to live with
and we are looking forward, with much hope, to her first litter. |

Erin
- CH. Wugs 'N Kisses For Burbrook
Mar. 15,
2008 |
In
2005, Tiana had her last litter - 2 puppies, a boy and a girl. The
girl, Burbrook Piece of a Wug Puzzle went to live with Lisa Lott
and had a stellar show career, gaining her first 4 points at the
tender age of 6 months. She was a champion before she was a year
old. Lisa offered me the pick of Puzzle's first litter when the
time came. Well, the time came this past March and Erin was my choice
from the 3 girls and 2 boys. We had our first litter ever when we
lived in Erin, ON and the name seemed a fitting tribute to our years
in Cavaliers. Erin is a little spitfire and has fit so well into
our Cavalier family. We are grateful to Lisa for parting with Erin
and we hope she follows in Puzzle's & Tiana's pawprints. Her
sire is Ch. Sanickro Magic Star (Finley), owned by Laura Lang in
Cleveland, OH

Kristy
- CH. Barrington Burbrook Firefly
May 26,
2008 |
| Kristy
came to us from Pat & Harry Barrington in late August of 2008.
From a casual email, commenting on a picture of 3 of the puppies
in her litter, in which I said to Pat "I'd love a ruby girl
like that one day" came a phone call offering her to me. It
took all of about 5 minutes discussion before we knew we had to
have her. She's a spunky tyke who has fit in well with our other
girls and is loving and affectionate. Kristy is a wonderful addition
to our family and we're grateful to Pat & Harry for entrusting
her to us. |

Savana
- Burbrook Black Velvet
June 5,
2009 |
| Savana
was one of two girls in Talia's recent litter of 6. All puppies
were black & tans - the breeding done explicitly to get another
black & tan girl for the future. Both parents (Talia & Geordie)
have been MRI'd and are graded A. While not a guarantee, we are
hopeful that Savana too will check out clear when she's older. |

Deena
- Mysticmoon
Burbrook's Dreamgirl
June 7,
2009 |
| Deena
is a granddaughter of our Becca and I couldn't pass up the opportunity
of having her. Karen Murray's Reese produced 4 girls and 1 boy,
to the same sire (Geordie), so the girls are half-sisters. Again,
both parents are graded A by MRI and offer the hope for the future
for us in wholecolours. |
