Tiana
- Can/US Ch. Brinklow Timpani of Burbrook
June 15,
2000
|
| Through
the generosity of Norma Moffat once more, I was able to purchase
Tiana from her Brinklow's Rosybells last litter. Tiana too, was
the only girl in the litter. She has turned out to be my foundation
bitch for our particolours. She obtained her Canadian and American
championships in short order, garnered a best opposite sex at the
CFSO regional specialty in 2002. She has produced 5 champion offspring
out of a total of 12 puppies. Tiana is my ideal Cavalier. |

Becca
- Castlewood's Burbrook Rebecca
Feb. 6,
2001 |
Although
not our first black & tan, Becca is the most 'interesting'
one! I was lucky enough to get Becca from Gloria Watkins in Winnipeg
(Castlewoods) and she is our wholecolour foundation. Her personality
is second to none, and her exuberance for life in general makes
her a challenge. Showing her proved to be too much of a challenge,
so she's been retired to mommy duties. Becca's idea of showing
meant taking the ring on two legs, and when all four feet were
on the ground, you practically run. She has produced some lovely
puppies and two of them are now Canadian Champions - a feat she
has been unable to accomplish herself.

Paige
- Holubs Front Paige at Burbrook
Oct. 10,
2004 |
| Paige
came to us from our good friends, Mavis & Jerry Holub when she
was 10 weeks old. They didn't want to keep her with all the white
on her chest and toes, and although it didn't matter to me if she
was shown or not, I wanted a ruby girl. Paige made her show debut
at the CFSO specialty in June 2006 and noted judge, R. William Taylor,
who placed her second in a class of 5, said of her: "solid
body which could be a shade shorter, good tail set and carriage,
pretty head." It seemed the white didn't bother him at all.
So, I took her to an all-breed show in September and she got Best
of Winners for 3 points. We are looking forward to her first litter! |

Talia
- Burbrook Tequila Sunrise
Jan. 29,
2006 |
| Talia
was the only girl in Micki's first litter, who along with her 3
tri brothers, came into the world 5 days early. Knowing Tiana was
retired, the decision to keep Talia was a no-brainer. To have her
look so adorable was icing on the cake. Not a freckle to be seen
on her body and she is maturing nicely. She seems to have inherited
one of her dad's traits though - bug chasing! Flies are one thing,
but she came in close contact with a couple of wasps this past summer
as well. Hasn't deterred her though. Talia's sire is Can/Am
Ch. Woodmere's Lord Byron. |

Robin
- Burbrook Velvet Ribbons
June 6,
2007 |
Robin
is a daughter of Micki and Can. Ch. Dreamaker Tristen at Sharpcies.
She's very much like her mom - she's becoming 2nd in command as
resident face-washer! Micki & now Robin, make sure everyone
has clean eyes and they are obsessive about it. We look forward
to seeing how she matures. So far, she's enjoying handling class
and hopefully she'll hit the show ring in 2008.

Laney
- Ch. Burbrook Twinkle of Laney
Nov. 20,
2003
|
| We
are pleased to welcome Laney back home. Unfortunately, due to health
issues of her first owner, they had to make the difficult decision
to let her go. We gladly brought her back at Thanksgiving and she
has been a wonderful addition to our family. Laney is a daughter
of Becca and has all of Becca's spirit plus more. Her favourite
place to nap during the day when I go out, is on top of the kitchen
counter or stove! She's affectionate, loving, full of spirit and
fit into the dog family like she's always been here. |
